Boxes+Tables+Drawers
Boxes + Tables + Drawers
In a constraint-based design exercise, I built an object that was required to be 14”-16” tall, with two finger-jointed boxes, two dovetailed drawers, a french-fit compartment, and a base that turns into something else.
I designed a small chest of drawers that sits on a stand that converts into a table.
Imagination thrives on creative constraints.
There is no metal hardware in this piece. All moving parts are expertly crafted and fitted from baltic birch plywood.
Remove the boxes, and the french-fit circle becomes the base for a table.
