Apprenticeship in Furniture Design
Apprenticeship in Furniture Design
In the Chisel Creative Apprenticeship in Furniture Design Work-Trade Program, individuals of all levels of experience work in the Chisel Studio one day a week and take free classes from Chisel's Chief Designer and Community Education Director, Rachel McKenna, MFA.
Hands-On Experience
Apprentice Em helps Chisel Core Maker Victoria build a cabinet
The Chisel Apprenticeship is a work-trade program. Apprentices work 6-8 hours a week in the studio, assisting with Chisel's custom furniture design projects. Each apprentice gains valuable hands-on experience by shadowing one of our skilled core makers or working on their own dedicated task.
Furniture Design Education
Apprentice Laura learns how to change a blade
